Joe Kubes of Kubes Steel Inc.was appointed Chairman of the Board in January 2012.Prior to joining Steel Plus in 2006, Joe established himself as a leader in the steel fabricating, rolling and bending business in Southern Ontario. Under Joe’s supervision Kubes Steel grew from it’s humble roots as a 2 man ornamental iron business in 1974 to the leader it is today, employing 80 people with Joe as president.Joe has diplomas in Business Management, Manufacturing Technology and Welding Technology from Mohawk College. Joe has been married to his wife Leona for 37 years and has two sons and a daughter, Michael, Andrew and Molly, and recently welcome his first grand-daughter, Charlotte. |

Matt Chapman assumed role of General Manager in April, 2011 and works in the new Edmonton Office. His principle responsibility is to bring SPN to profitability and to refocus the group on its core business as an association and a buying group. This includes finding a viable solution to Steel Plus Distribution that remains dormant in Columbia City but recently has been presented with some interesting opportunities. The GM is coordinating on these opportunities with Whitley County EDC and the new Chairman. |

Adrienne Sannachan began in her role as the new Office Manager in Edmonton in July 2011 and takes on the responsibility of book keeping and accounting, SDS 2 management and most administrative duties. She will be working directly with the accounting departments of each of our members and suppliers to ensure that reporting is accurate and that receivables/payables are current. She is also the liaison to our accounting partners (Dale Somerville Accountants) who will be assisting us with our day to day accounting issues and year end review. |

Sonia Vachon is the Director Business Development and is also Director for steel and non-steel commercial agreements. She is situated in Quebec and works hand in hand with our suppliers to be sure that SPN has the best contracts possible and that both parties are fulfilling their respective obligations. Sonia and matt are both responsible for growth of membership. Sonia is also responsible for Regional and Annual meetings. |

Tyler Styles is a consultant who sublets office space from us and is responsible for SPN’s systems administration, web services, and the integration of our accounting systems and our statistics gathering. He is also responsible for telecommunications, email, and website management. Tyler will likely become more integral to SPN as our company grows and its IT needs expand; for instance, we are currently in negotiations with Design Data/Magnus on offering support services for their SDS/2 software suite which Tyler would provide. Tyler will also be helping to develop SPN’s IT strategies to streamline existing operations and offer new services without increasing staff. |
